Beat the Heat: Engage & Enrich Before the Boredom Hits
We all know that feeling. It's roasting outside, you've got a dog staring at you like you've personally cancelled their favourite walk, and you're stood there wondering what on earth you're supposed to do with them.
Hot days are coming. And if you're anything like most dog owners I speak to, the heatwave hits and suddenly you're googling "what to do with my dog when it's too hot to walk" at 9pm in a panic.
That's exactly why I created Beat the Heat: Engage & Enrich Before the Boredom Hits.
What is it?
It's a brand new four session summer dog training course, running in Sandbach, Cheshire from 23rd June. It's designed to give you a real toolkit of enrichment ideas and training skills so your dog stays happy, mentally tired and fulfilled even on the hottest days.
And before you worry this isn't about having a perfect dog. There's no such thing. This is real life dog training, and every dog and owner is welcome exactly as they are.
What will we cover?
We'll start with a Zoom session from the comfort of your own home, where we'll go through enrichment ideas you can try straight away. Think frozen treats, sniff searches, circuits, water play and more simple things that will tire your dog out mentally without stepping foot outside in the heat.
Then we move into three face to face sessions at Zoomies Indoor Paddock, Bradwall Road, Sandbach, where you'll be working with your dog on some really practical skills.
We'll be working on what I call a Supersonic Sit building a reliable sit that your dog holds until you give them something else to do. No repeated cues, no frustration, just clear communication and a stronger bond between you and your dog.
We'll also cover Touch and a basic Recall both simple, fun and genuinely useful skills you'll use every single day.
What's included?
Every session comes with a PDF summary emailed straight to you afterwards so nothing gets forgotten, plus step by step videos to use at home in your own time. Because learning doesn't stop when the session ends.
The group is kept small a maximum of four dogs so it never feels overwhelming. Every session has a clear structure so you always know what's coming next, and the course is fully neurodivergent friendly.
